In Uplands Kenya Sheep shearing corresponds to the opening of school. Farmers will shear their sheep, clean the hide and sell whole hides, sheep tails and create warm wool hats. They then set up a small shop on the side of the road to sell their fleece to purchase school uniforms for their children.
Even though these wool hats are unlined they still work keeping your head cozy.
It measures 22″ in circumference with a 4 3/4″ rim. This hat has two small spots on the hat where the sheep had lost his wool so we are discounting it.
